This project consists of the historic renovation of an existing building into market-rate apartments and retail spaces. The site at 626 Royal Street dates back to the late 1700s with a fascinating history of transformation, from the residence of the architect-builder Barthelemy Lafond to the mixed-use structure of today. Marais Consultants is performing structural assessments, design, and construction administration services for the following areas:
• Brick arches in breezeway.
• Framing concerns in the rear portion of the building (both floors)
• Beam-joist in center/front of the building
• Balcony Framing
• Various repairs and structure strengthening throughout.
