(from French)

marsh: an area of low, soft land often covered with water.

Why Marais? The name pays tribute to the land that serves as the foundation for New Orleans, where the marshes were drained in order to create our city. Today, the coastal marshes present a case study in the benefits of working alongside natural systems for sustainable solutions to current and future challenges. They are an essential feature of our landscape providing wildlife habitat and protection from damaging storm surges.

We strive to provide our Clients with the same multi-dimensional utility through innovative structural engineering, green infrastructure development, and nature-based design.
