WHAT THE JOB ENTAILS
Marais is seeking a Civil Engineer. As a junior-level Civil Engineer, you will be involved in the planning, design, and construction of residential, commercial, and public projects with a focus on green infrastructure and drainage design. You will work under senior designers and assist with the development of construction documents (e.g., calculations, technical specifications, drawings) and construction oversight/administration. The ideal candidate will be open to developing creative designs and solutions with sustainability in mind and have the ability to design a project from start to finish. The ideal candidate will also be able to draft and compile a set of construction documents, calculations, specifications, and design reports.

WHAT THE JOB REQUIRES
• 5+ years of experience in Civil Engineering.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
• PE license
• Knowledge and experience of civil engineering concepts, principles and practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Enthusiastic and self-motivated.
• Work well within a multidisciplinary team.
• Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing, and standard office software.
• Good working knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD)
• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is a plus
• Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience managing projects and junior staff
• Experience with Construction Administration
EVEN BETTER IF YOU HAVE
• Experience with Arc GIS
• Experience with PCSWMM or other modeling programs
